MLB announces New Umpire Hires
On March 31, 2010 MLB announced the hiring of four new umpires to the Major League staff.

Rob Drake-#82 , originally from Pennsylvania has umpired in organized baseball for 13 years.  Rob has umpired in the following leagues:  Northwest, Midwest, California, Eastern, Pacific Coast, National and Major League Baseball.  Rob resides in Arizona.

Chad Fairchild--#75, is from Ohio.  Chad has nine years of professional umpiring experience.  Chad has umpired the Gulf Coast, New York Penn, South Atlantic, Florida State, Texas, International and Major League Baseball.  Chad lives in Florida.

James Hoye—#92, was born in Ohio.  He has 11 years umpiring experience.  James has umpired in the New York Penn, South Atlantic, Florida State, Eastern, International and Major League Baseball before being hired as a full time Major League Umpire.

Adrian Johnson--#80, was born in Texas.  Adrian has nine years of professional umpiring experience.  He has umpired in the Gulf Coast, Pioneer, South Atlantic, Florida State, Eastern, International and Major League Baseball.  He resides in Texas.

The WUA congratulates these umpires on fulfilling their dream of becoming a Major League Umpire.
