MLB has selected the umpires for the Divisional Series, League Championship Series and World Series:
 

2008 World Series
 
Tim Welke (#3) will be the Crew Chief in this year’s fall classic. Tim is a 25 year veteran with 3 previous World Series assignments. He will be joined by Tim Tschida (#4) a 23 year vet with 2 World Series, Jeff Kellogg (#6) a 16 year vet and 2 World Series.  Working their first World Series are Tom Hallion (#20) a 16 year vet, Kerwin Danley (#44) a 12 year veteran, and 12 year veteran Fieldin Culbreth (#25).
 
 
Note: Angel Hernandez was added to the ALCS roster to take the place of injured plate umpire Derryl Cousins. Angel worked game 7 for Derryl.
