The 2009 All-Star umpire selections made by MLB are as follows:
HP-Dana Demuth (Crew Chief)
Dana is a 25 year veteran of Major League Baseball. Dana has worked the 1990 and the 2001 All-Star games. He has umpired the 1990, 1996, 1997, 2001 and 2008 Division Series, and the 1991, 1995, 2000, 2002 and 2007 League Championship Series. He has also umpired the 1993, 1998 and 2001 World Series.
1B-Brian Gorman
Brian is a 17 year veteran. He has umpired the 1998 All-Star game. Brian also umpired the 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004 Division Series, and the 2002, 2007 and 2008 League Championship Series, and the 2004 World Series.
2B-Jeff Kellogg
Jeff is a 16 year veteran. He last worked the All-Star game in 1997. He umpired the 1998, 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2008 Division Series, and the 1999, 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2006 League Championship Series, as well as the 2000, 2003 and 2008 World Series.
3B-Angel Hernandez
Angel is a 16 year veteran of Major League baseball. He last worked the All-Star game in 1999. He umpired the Division Series in 1997, 1998, 2002 and 2005 along with the League Championship Series in 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2007, and the World Series in 2002 and 05.
LF-Tim Timmons
Tim is a 9 year veteran. He umpired the 2005 National League Division Series, MLB China Series and Japan Opening Series in 2008. Tim was an instructor at MLB’s inaugural Umpire Camps held at MLB’s Urban Youth Academy in Compton, CA.
RF-Paul Nauert
Paul is a 8 year veteran of Major League Umpiring. Paul has worked the 2004 and 2008 Division Series. He also umpired the 2008 National League Division Series between Milwaukee and Philadelphia. Paul also umpired the MLB China Series and the Japan Opening Series in 2008. In addition, Paul was chosen as an instructor at MLB’s Umpire Camps held at MLB’s Urban Youth Academy in Compton, CA.
